A child sorts the coins by colour, stacks them into small towers, threads them, or lines them up to make a pattern across the floor. They pair well with Grapat's Nins and rings, extending scenes and stories a child has already begun. Grapat make the coins in Spain from beech that is PEFC certified, and the set has won a Spiel Gut award.

Montessori and Waldorf settings both use loose parts like these for early counting, colour matching and threading work, and the coins fit easily into that kind of open-ended play at home too.

The set suits a 2 years+ child, and it makes a welcome addition at a birthday or as a first introduction to Grapat's range of loose parts.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0282/2356/9995/files/15-11718Coins_1_1500x1500_8a6ab8f2-d87c-4213-bfb8-f2ef7f0db524.jpg?v=1790783766
