►About the Authors: Máire Zepf has penned 16 children’s books—from picture books to a YA verse novel—and garnered awards including KPMG/CBI Children’s Book of the Year, four LAI Children’s Book Awards, two international White Ravens, and the 2018 IBBY Honour Award for Ireland. Her work appears in 10 languages. As Northern Ireland’s inaugural Children’s Writing Fellow at the Seamus Heaney Centre for Poetry, she has made a notable impact. The 'Rita' picture book series, illustrated by Andrew Whitson, began in 2017 and is set to appear on TV. Máire also translates children’s literature from authors like Oliver Jeffers, Charlie Mackesey, and Malachy Doyle into Irish.
Paddy Donnelly is an Irish author and illustrator of picture books. Now living in Belgium, he works in a range of illustration styles and was shortlisted for the World Illustration Awards in 2018 and the KPMG Children's Books Ireland Awards in 2020.
