Looking for wooden dominoes for 2 year olds that keep little minds busy without needing a screen? Vilac Fruit & Vegetable Dominoes are a sweet, softly coloured matching game illustrated by Sarah Betz-Cubeely, designed to grow with your child’s confidence. One side is all about pairing up adorable fruits, perfect for early matching and language (“banana”, “tomato”, “carrot”, “strawberry”). Flip them over and you’ve got a second game: matching numbers from 1 to 6, shown as vegetables, so counting practice feels like play rather than a lesson.
Because it’s reversible, you can keep it simple for younger toddlers and then gently add the number side when they’re ready. It’s great for children who love calm, repeatable activities, and just as lovely for chatty little storytellers who want to name everything on the table. For grown-ups, it’s an easy, no-fuss way to play together for ten minutes after crèche, or to set out for independent play while dinner’s on. The wooden pieces feel satisfying in small hands and encourage careful placing, turn-taking, concentration and visual memory. At BeoVERDE, we love how this makes “first numbers” and new words feel like a cosy game you’ll actually come back to.
