Tea for four, with music. This tin tea set, decorated by Danish illustrator Michelle Carlslund, has a teapot with a wind-up music box inside: tip it to pour and it plays a tune while the imaginary tea comes out.
Fourteen pieces in all: the teapot, four cups, four saucers, four plates and a tray to carry them on. The set is printed tin, light enough for a three-year-old to lay the table for teddies, dolls and whoever else is invited.
Pretend tea parties are where children rehearse real life: pouring, serving, taking turns and talking. The music box needs no batteries, just a wind of the key.
